What Are Reactions?
Reactions let you show appreciation for guides without writing a comment. They help authors understand how their content is being received and help other users find the most valuable guides.Available Reactions

| 💾 | Saved Me | This guide saved me significant time (hours or more) |
| ⏰ | Outdated | This information is no longer accurate or current |
How to React
- Open any guide
- Scroll to the reactions section (usually near the top)
- Click a reaction button to add your reaction
- Click again to remove your reaction
You must be logged in to react to guides.
Reaction Rules
- One per user: You can only add one of each reaction type per guide
- Toggle on/off: Click again to remove your reaction
- Authenticated only: Login required to prevent spam
- Permanent record: Reactions are counted even if you remove yours later
What Reactions Mean
Helpful (👍)
Use this when a guide:- Answered your specific question
- Solved a problem you were facing
- Provided clear, working instructions
- Was well-written and easy to follow
Saved Me (💾)
Reserve this for guides that:- Prevented hours of debugging or research
- Provided a solution you couldn’t find elsewhere
- Saved a critical deadline
- Showed you something you’d never have discovered alone
Outdated (⏰)
Use this when:- Code examples no longer work
- Library versions have changed significantly
- Best practices have evolved
- Links are broken or resources removed

On Guide Cards
When browsing guides, you’ll see reaction counts:- Total helpful reactions
- Total saved me reactions
- Outdated marker if applicable
On Guide Pages
Full breakdown of reactions:- Count for each reaction type
- Whether you’ve reacted
- Total reaction count
For Guide Authors
Understanding Your Reactions
Reactions provide valuable feedback:- High Helpful count: Your guide is solving problems
- High Saved Me count: Your guide is exceptionally valuable
- Outdated reactions: Time to review and update
Responding to Outdated Reactions
If your guide receives multiple Outdated reactions:- Review the guide’s content
- Test all code examples
- Check library versions
- Update or add a note if needed
- Consider unpublishing if completely obsolete
